Extended Clinical Station is NEW to the MRCPCH Clinical Examination. A Task is given with Universal cues.

Candidate task is to take a Focused History in 9 minutes, summarise to Examiner, a Relevant examination in 6 minutes and then Discuss with Examiner – 3 minutes.

Task ” 3 month old Oliver is brought to A&E by his mother c/o coughing and poor feeding for 2 days.” Take a focused history from his mother. Examination and discussion with Examiner will be later.

We suggest – After noting the task and watching the cues – write down outline of questions you would wish to ask mother before watching the Video.
