Dear All
Thank you for particpating in the session today.
In Rapid Random Review (RRR) we discussed:
- Persistent Neonatal Jaundice
- Hypercyanotic spells
- Bronchiolitis – features
Communication station scenraio was discussion with a 4th year Medical student, who wishes to know more about Neonatal screening. Dr P had the Hotseat with Dr S being a very able RP. DR AG had the examiner hat. Dr P completed the task well – introductions – open question on how she could help – listening carefully and then replying. Dr P covered all the points well and in appropriate language. Dr P acknowledged areas of ignorance of current facts and offered to check and return. Good rationale explaination to spend resources wisely. minor points that needed to be addressed were picked by Dr S – RP well.
There are a few learning points:
- Read the information with care & fully
- Each word is important
- Remember it should be a DIALOGUE
- 30 sec rule modified today to 15 sec Rule by Dr P
- Summary – at 6 mins knock – do NOT forget
We move onto Video station next week.
