Dr Anil Garg

Dr Anil Garg FRCPCH, FRCPI, DCH, Dip. Med. Educ., PG Cert. Medical Careers.

Professor of Paediatrics, Lincoln Medical School, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 

Consultant Paediatrician, (Rtd), Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust; Honorary Consultant Paediatrician, Brighton Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust. Neonatology and cardiology are his special expertise.

Associate Clinical Professor, American University of Caribbean, St. Marteen.

He was a Senior examiner for the RCPCH for MRCPCH and DCH and was Principal Regional Examiner for South East Thames region, England. He worked with Kent, Surrey and Sussex (KSS) Deanery to improve MRCPCH teaching in the region. A very keen educator, he has developed and presented novel teaching and monitoring techniques at national and international meetings.

He has noted difficulties trainees face in the clinical part of MRCPCH examination and has developed successful study material to improve clinical skills.

He is the chief  adviser to EXCEL (MRCPCH + DCH) courses.

He has co-authored 2 books for DCH and MRCPCH examinations, namely – The Diploma in Child Health, Volumes 1 and 2 and MRCPCH Clinical Examination: A Practical Guide. For more details about the books please check the resources section of the website.

Paediatric emergenices & Critical Care is my special field of interest. I manage pediatric emergencies & critical care patients admitted to our hospital. Challenges involved in managing medical emergencies is exciting and very rewarding.

I am lucky to be part of aeromedical crew involved in  medevac services , which has given me opportunity to travel & visit many countries.

MRCPCH training helped me improve my communication skills in counselling. I can communicate more effectively and build rapport with very anxious parents whose children are admitted to PICU in critical condition.

Teaching has always been my passion since the time I was a faculty in a medical college in India as well as in my current hospital wherein I am involved in teaching the PG students as per the curriculum in PICU.

It has been my pleasure to be associated with Dr.Anil Garg whose has been my mentor since the time I met him in 2019 for my MRCPCH clinical training in Kolkata. For the last 4yrs I have been associated with him for the training of the MRCPCH candidates from around the globe. I am always looking forward to teaching opportunities available.

We are launching this Face to Face MRCPCH clinical intensive courses again after the unexpected iterruption due to COVID, for the upcoming exam diet in Bangalore. Wishing all the candidates a successful training session.

Dr Varsha Sreenivasa Kashyap

Dr. Varsha is a senior Consultant Pediatrician, Adolescent health specialist & Family Physician
currently practicing at Bapu Clinic, JP Nagar, Bengaluru, India. She is also a Consultant
Pediatrician and Adoption Counsellor at PADME. Dr. Varsha is in-charge of the Adolescent-
‘Sneha Clinic’ at Community Health Centre Kaggalipura, Bengaluru Urban.
Dr Varsha has 19 years of versatile experience in General Pediatrics. Her special interests are
Adolescent Pediatrics, school health, child development, child and parent counseling, infectious
diseases, childhood asthma & non- communicable diseases with special emphasis on lifestyle
modification.
Dr Varsha has served as the Head of Pediatrics at Bangalore Baptist Hospital. She took the
leadership to form the child protection unit (Baptist Bala Suraksha). She has served as
community Pediatrician at church of South India Hospital Chikkabalapur. She has always been
passionate about post graduate teaching. At Mehta multispecialty Hospital Chennai, she served
as an academic coordinator & took leadership in organizing ‘National OSCE workshops & mock
exams for post graduate trainees’- a popular training program which was well attended by
students from all over India.
Dr Varsha is the author of ‘counseling’ chapter in ‘Scott Pediatrics’ 2024 & ‘Child Development’
chapter in ‘IAP clinical cases in Pediatrics for post graduates’ 2023. She was the faculty for
OSCE Pediatrics, at Karnataka Pedicon in December 2022.

Dr Dhanalakshmi R

Consultant Neonatologist and Paediatrician. Motherhood Hospitals. MBBS, DNB, Fellowship in Neonatal Medicine (UK), MRCPCH, PGPN(Boston University),IPPN, ACLP, POCUS.

I completed my Undergraduate medical training from Mangalore and pursued Post Graduation in Paediatrics from Bangalore. After Post Graduation, I further specialized in Neonatology from a tertiary center in the United Kingdom.

Currently, I serve as a Sr Consultant Neonatologist at Motherhood Hospitals, Bangalore, where I actively mentor fellowship students in Neonatology. Over the years, I have mentored and guided my registrars to secure fellowship in the UK through MTI. I am keen to educate and support young pediatricians to achieve their professional goals.

Dr Sandhya. V

MBBS, DNB Pediatrics, MRCPCH, UK. Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Dr. B. R Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore.

Dr. Sandhya has graduated from Mysore University, completing MBBS from prestigious Mysore Medical College. She has finished her postgraduation in Pediatrics, getting DNB degree from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.

She has completed MRCPCH – postgraduation degree from United Kingdom. Dr. Sandhya has 20 years of working experience in pediatrics – both in India and in United Kingdom. She has worked in various hospitals in United Kingdom – Staffordshire General Hospital, Basildon and Thurrock University Hospitals, Blackpool Hospital. She has completed post graduate diploma in counselling and guidance and has taken up the role of a counselor for children, adolescents and adults.

Currently working as Associate Professor in Pediatrics in a medical college in Bangalore, managing the role of a teacher for both undergraduate and post graduate students for the last 10 years and a practicing pediatrician. She is a part of mentorship programme for undergraduates and has been postgraduate thesis guide. She actively takes part in departmental clinical audits, case reports and research publications. She is committed to continuous learning and teaching and nurturing next generation of young pediatricians across the globe.

Dr Anamika Krishnan

MBBS,DNB(PED),DCH(U.K),MRCPCH,ACLP(Advanced Certified Lactation Consultant), DAAI (Diploma in allergy,asthma and immunology -currently in training)

Working as a Junior Consultant in Paediatrics in Narayana Health , Bangalore. Was previously working as Assistant Professor in Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Institute.

Trained under Dr Anil Garg sir himself for my MRCPCH clinicals.This helped to improve my communication skills and deepen my understanding of the subject as well.Teaching and updating my knowledge has always been a passion.

Core interests are general paediatrics, respiratory medicine, alllergy and immunology.

Paul Curtis

Paul has been providing technical support for medical education for over 15 years, he brings a wealth of experience across many aspects of software (including websites), hardware and peripheral support.

Personally he is married and has 2 young children, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, and technology.

We will come to a grinding halt if he was not there to ‘keep the technology flowing’.

Yasir Ahmed

Yasir Ahmed, currently a student pursuing  Commerce in  Bangalore, India. In addition to my academic commitments, I hold a part-time position at Bapu Clinic, where I work under the supervision of Dr. Varsha, gaining practical experience . 

I provide technical support for the MRCPCH AtoZ faculty, contributing to educational initiatives in the medical field.

My skill set includes fast and efficient typing, video editing, and poster design. I also possess a foundational knowledge of various programming languages, including Java, Python, C++, and HTML. I approach every task with confidence, dedication, and a willingness to learn and grow.
